The remaining quarterfinal match of the BiH Cup, which was supposed to be played last week and was postponed due to Zrinjski’s European match against Crystal Palace, was played tonight in Gabela, where Zrinjski’s players won against GOŠK with 2:1.
In relation to the game against Željezničar, the coach of Zrinjski Igor Štimac he almost completely changed the starting line-up and gave an opportunity from the first minute to players who had less playing time in the last matches.
Despite the changes in the composition, Plemići took the initiative from the very beginning and took the lead at the first opportunity. The second minute of the match was played when the home team made a mistake in the middle of the field. It’s the ball cut off Majić and put Nalić to good workwho came out alone in front of the goalkeeper Topić and you surely hit for the advantage of the people of Mostar.

In the 25th minute, the home team seriously threatened for the first time. Zrinić tried a shot from a distance, but the ball went far from Sajka’s goal.
Two minutes later, Mikić played past Memija on the right side, who sent a sharp cross into the home team’s penalty area, but the ball did not find any of his teammates.
In the 35th minute, the home team threatened again through Kaćunk, but his shot was blocked by Mostar’s captain Ivančić. In the 38th minute, a free kick was taken by Kaćunko. Albijanić headed the ball to Hasukić, but his falling shot was easily saved by Sajko.
Towards the end of the half, the home team took the first corner of the match. After Kaćunk’s cross, the visitors from Mostar cleared, and the ball bounced to Čoka, whose ball it was shot from the top of the penalty area was an easy task for the visiting goalkeeper.
So Zrinjski went on vacation with two goal lead.
Štimac started the second half with two substitutions. Nalić and Mikić remained on the bench, while Ćuže and Ilić entered the game. The opening minutes of the second half were mostly played in the middle of the pitch, until the 52nd minute when GOŠK suddenly reduced the score. A good ball reached the Antonija Kaćunka, who got rid of Dujmović i scored for 2:1.
Only a minute later, Zrinjski had a great opportunity. Home goalkeeper Topić kicked the ball, it came to Majić who shot, but Radoš saved from the goal line. In the 60th minute, Ivančić tried from about 20 meters away, but his shot went far beyond the home team’s goal.
Five minutes later, another 100% chance for Zrinjski. Čuže received an excellent ball into the area and started on the right side, then found it with a precise cross Majić who is, all alone, missed the home team’s empty net. In the 70th minute, the home team threatened through Kaćunko, but the Zrinjski defense reacted in time.
Just two minutes later, Perić crossed into the Mostar penalty area, Sajko came out empty, and Hasukić tried to head, but the ball went just wide of Zrinjski’s goal. In the last ten minutes, the home team could have equalized. He tried first Kaćunko from about 25 meters, but his shot went over the goal.
In the 87th minute a new good opportunity for GOŠK. Prskalo did a good job of Zrinić on the left side, his cross came to Perić who shot well, but the goalkeeper of the visitors made a nice save.
There were no major surprises until the end of the game Zrinjski left Gabela with a minimal advantage.
The return matches of the quarter-finals of the BiH Cup are being played March 11. Before that, Zrinjski will welcome the Radnik team in Mostar on the weekend.
