In his address to the public, he especially thanked the European partners after the meeting of national security advisers, where they discussed the strengthening of European anti-ballistic capacities and the creation of a kind of “anti-ballistic coalition”. “It is something worth doing and now we are closer to the result than ever before,” Zelensky said.
He added that 13 countries and the NATO Secretary General’s office participated in the meeting, which he described as a very important step for European security and the defense of Ukraine. “Ukraine’s positions today, both on the battlefield and through our long-range sanctions and joint results with partners, are the best in the last few years,” he said.
Zelensky believes that Ukraine must now maintain that momentum and continue to achieve concrete results. He emphasized that Ukraine’s resilience does not stem only from military strength, but also from international alliances. “There are no individual victories and there is no resilience in isolation,” he said.
He pointed out that the main goal of Ukraine is still the preservation of territory and sovereignty. “We are not giving up our country or our sovereignty,” said the Ukrainian president.
Speaking about the situation on the ground, Zelensky said that the Russian attacks have intensified again after a few days of relative calm, and that the Shahed drone attacks and aerial bombs have been renewed. He added that Ukraine continues to respond to Russian strikes, including targeting targets linked to the Russian gas industry in the Orenburg region, more than 1,500 kilometers from Ukraine.
At the same time, he emphasized that Kyiv continues to work with partners to open the way to diplomacy and peace. At the end of the address, he thanked all Ukrainians who participate in the defense of the country. “Ukraine must withstand this war, defend its independence and guarantee the security of its people. And it will certainly do so,” Zelensky said.
