In the headquarters of the Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton, contracts were signed on the co-financing of projects for the construction, reconstruction and rehabilitation of religious community facilities and facilities that have the status of national monuments in the area of the canton, with a total value of 550,000 KM.
The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Mirza Mušija, in the presence of Prime Minister Nezir Pivić, signed contracts with representatives of the Mejlis of the Islamic Community of Zenica, the Religious Center in BiH, the Parish of St. Elijah the Prophet in Zenica, Parish of St. Leopold Mandić in Maglaj, Majlis of the Islamic Community of Žepče, Parish of the Heart of Jesus in Čajdraš – Zenica, Parish of St. Anthony of Padua in Žepč, Parish of St. Ilija in Novi Šeher, the Serbian Orthodox Church Municipality in Tešnje and the Parish of St. Anne in Radunice (Žepče).
– Religious communities are extremely important for society. We are aware that the needs are much greater and that we often have requests that go beyond the expected framework. This is not the end when it comes to helping religious communities in this budget year – said Prime Minister Pivić.
Minister Mushija expressed his satisfaction that the relevant ministry was able to help in the implementation of the mentioned projects.
– Through this program, we support the reconstruction and creation of better conditions in sacred buildings, where people dedicated to missionary work and helping others work. The goal is to strengthen the values that contribute to being better, more honest and fairer people. I wish you success and perseverance in working with people – said Minister Mušija.
The representatives of religious communities thanked the Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton for understanding the needs of religious communities, but also their importance for society as a whole.
