During a phone call on Sunday, Netanyahu expressed reservations about a possible truce with Iran, warning that it could carry strategic risks, an Israeli official told Axios.
However, Trump told Netanyahu that a truce with Iran could be reached if Tehran agreed to US demands. He reiterated that Washington’s demands include Iran handing over all of its enriched uranium and committing not to continue enriching uranium, the official said.
Meanwhile, Netanyahu said on the X social network on Monday that he had spoken with Trump on Sunday and praised him for what he said was a heroic rescue operation of the American crew member, while Trump expressed his gratitude to Israel for its help.

The Israeli prime minister added that Trump praised Israel as a steady, determined and firm ally and said that the two countries continue to weaken the Iranian regime of terror.
US and Israeli attacks on Iran, which began on February 28, have so far killed at least 1,340 people, including then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Iran retaliated with drone and missile attacks targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq and the Gulf countries that host US military assets.
