China and Russia should continue to strengthen coordination in international and regional affairs, the President of the XI Jinping secretary of the Russian Council of Security Sergei Scheign in Beijing, reported Chinese state media.

The two sides agreed to maintain a new round of strategic security consultations at the appropriate time, it is added to the statement, Reuters reports.
