Why would I have a cascade in the development of electromobility – on corridor 5c has only one DC filler

European countries have long since been developed by the development of electromobility, while BiH lags behind the Western region.

However, in spite of the more slow progress, certain shifts are visible. Whether these steps are sufficient and in which direction I would move when it comes to electromobility, for EnergyPortal.ba The Secretary of the Association of Authorized Representatives and Traders in the Chambers of the FBiH Ethnic Chamber Anela Karahasan is revealed.

It points out that BiH is significantly lagging behind Europe when it comes to the number of electrical vehicles, infrastructure development, incentives and legislation.

– In BiH, subsidies are still only at the FBiH level and without a specific strategy and measures of incentives for development at almost all levels. Despite this difficult system, certain shifts are recorded in BiH in the short term, but not sufficient. Here, therefore, we have the opportunity to view the examples of positive practice and ways of overcoming the challenges from EU and region countries, and react quickly through the introduction of tax reliefs, incentives, the development of urban transport – Karahasanova said.

The Association for Electromobile and Association of Authorized Members and Traders in the FBiH Chamber of Commerce initiated the introduction of subsidies to motivate natural and legal entities on the procurement of environmentally friendly vehicles. There were good EU practices, thus in the first two years in the first two years, plow-in hybrids and hybrid vehicles, have not been involved hybrid vehicles, but only electric (amounts of CO2 emissions than 50 g / km (7,000 km).

– The increase in interest is evident, especially legal entities due to the savings they exercise, especially in the domain of electricity consumption compared to the fuel consumption required for internal combustion vehicles. Subsidies are necessary and of great importance, especially in the initial phases of electromobility development, but not sufficient. With subsidies, a number of other incentives, especially in the infrastructure, because the increase in the vehicle means a greater need for the number of chargers, especially fast (DC), their availability and accompanying infrastructure – Karahasanova points out.

From other incentives, the suspension of the customs stands out in the import of electric vehicles, ie the reduction of the same for five percent for hybrid vehicles, where this incentive has been active for several years at the level of BiH, while subsidies, unfortunately, were only in the Federation.

When it comes to infrastructure that should monitor the number of electric cars, the main obstacle is a complex administration in most cantons when it comes to the FBiH, as well as the price of the connection, which is often a demotivating factor.

– We can state that there is a significant number of private as well as semi-fluid and public ac filling in BiH. What is missing is the network of DC fillers on auto-roads and traffic main roads. As an example, we state that for now on partially constructed international Corridor VC AUTO-TREE We have only one DC Ponic Karahasan said.

While in the EU almost half of the new city buses were excluded in 2024. years, BiH is just the first steps in this plan.

The Electricity Association is initiated by the Member of the Association and the Ministry of External Trade and Economic Relations of BiH Customs suspensions when importing electric buses. They point out that the appropriate infrastructure needs to be built in parallel, which is required and financial incentive.

The association consists of over 50 entities in the public and private sectors, in the field of automotive industry, electricity, electrical industry, traffic, environmental protection, oil and petroleum products, as well as subjects from other activities. According to Karahasanov, this colorful sector and expertise consists of an association strong and specific compared to another similar type.

Key topics dealing with are the suspension of customs, subsidies, infrastructure and promotion, where each of the said topics has numerous subtits.

– In addition to the gathering of a really large number of members from different branches of the economy, the greatest success of the association for electromobility are certainly Initiating the establishment of a legal and incentive framework for electrobility in BiH. We specifically single out the adoption of the suspension of the customs of electric vehicles at the state level, the introduction of subsidies in the FBiH for the purchase of electric vehicles, in favor of individual cantons, and on the proposal of the Association – it concluded.
