As it was assumed, they are of a political nature, and now it has been proven after the “Avdic case” was publicly spoken for the first time by Dejan Anđus, a controversial journalist and editor of the show “Otvoreno sa Anđus”, which is described as a “sports-political show”.
“Regarding those things, hate/love… You had a commentator here on Arena TV, Edin Avdić, who was driven by hatred for the current government in Serbia and the president of the republic, skillfully hiding behind the role of a basketball commentator, of course a covert Partizan, from this television he spread hatred towards the current president of the republic wrapped in the form of a basketball commentary, where he absolutely supported Partizan and during every derby between Zvezda and Partizan leaned towards black and white side,” said Anđus, then continued:
“He thought that the government in Serbia was shaken, so he wanted to quietly join the blockaders and protesters through the form of a television/basketball broadcast with a story about the people’s authentic love for Željko Obradović, with the allusion that the people don’t love someone else like that. Another in a series of liars who appeared in public.”

Until now, Edin Avdić has not publicly announced himself on this issue, but a month ago he said on the subject:
“I just want to thank people, brothers and sisters for their support. I expected a little, but nowhere near this much. No one has come forward to offer support. I don’t have full information about what exactly is happening, so at this moment I wouldn’t announce much. I wouldn’t want to come out with speculations. Let’s wait a little longer. When there is full information, then I will announce myself. I am ready at any time, but in order not to engage in speculation, I will say when I have something concrete,” he said then in the podcast Udvajanje, which he edits with his colleague Miloš Kostić.
