News on the previously unknown meeting on Wednesday evening – as well as the widespread belief that Waltz will not stay in the administration long – comes at the time the leading officials are publicly defending him.
On Friday is Vance – known as a team player who apparently accepted Trump’s decision – led Waltza to a highly profiled visit to Greenland, leaving the president’s decision-making.
He went a step further, mocking journalists and suggesting that they just look for Drama. He promised he wouldn’t get it.
“If you think you can force the president of the United States to release anyone, you have another thing in mind!” He said. “I’m vice president and I’m telling you this on Friday: We’re behind our entire national security team.”
The president himself said the Waltz that Waltz took responsibility and that “learned the lesson.”

“His superpower is that he doesn’t care what the media write”, said one source.
But he added, though he saved him now, maybe he may not even next time.
