The smallest club in the history of the Bundesliga made history and became the 59th team to play in the elite class of German football.
It comes from a place that doesn’t even have a train station.
Where is Elversberg?
Elversberg is a small town northeast of Saarbrücken. It is part of the Spiesen-Elversberg municipality, which has approx 13.000 inhabitantswhile Elversberg itself counts only approx 7.000 people. There is no train station in the town, and there are only three bakeries.
How long has the club been around?
