The Office emphasizes that the Rijaset of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina is the only authorized entity from Bosnia and Herzegovina that has an official agreement with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the organization of the Hajj. They point out that they are not behind the controversial offers nor do they cooperate with the people who offer them.
They add that, due to Saudi Arabia’s strict regulations and control through the Nusuk Masar platform, organizing bedeluk in the way that is offered in private ads is legally unfeasible. All indicators, as they state, point to an attempt to defraud with the aim of obtaining illegal benefits.
In particular, they warn against the abuse of inadequate visas, such as tourist visas, for performing Hajj, which is strictly prohibited and punishable. In such cases, high fines, deportation, ban on entering Saudi Arabia, but also criminal liability are threatened.
The Office points out that believers in such situations entrust the performance of their religious duty to unknown persons, without any guarantee that the ceremony will be performed or that it will be in accordance with Sharia regulations.
They called on citizens in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the diaspora not to fall for dubious ads, stressing that performing the Hajj, as the crowning act of worship, must not be subject to manipulation, writes RTV Slon.
