Venezuelan Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino Lopez said the country “will endure, not negotiate and not give up,” underscoring the government’s determination in the wake of US attacks.
– We will remain one united nation behind one goal: victory – said Lopez. He added that the history of Venezuela is based on peace, but also on the struggle for freedom.
– We have always extended our hands to humanity and we will continue to defend our homeland and the unity of our people – said the Minister of Defense.
Meanwhile, Venezuela’s Interior Minister Diosdado Cabello urged citizens to remain calm and trust the state and military leadership.
– Trust our leadership, trust the political and military leadership that they will manage the situation – said Cabello in his address to the nation.
– Stay calm, don’t give in to despair. Do not make it easier for the enemy who attacked us cowardly – he added, describing the attacks as an act of aggression.
Lopez also stated that “Venezuela’s freedom and independence cannot be put on the negotiating table – emphasizing the country’s determination in the current crisis.
– We must remain calm and united in order to overcome these difficult moments. We must not succumb to panic, which is exactly the goal of our enemy – said Lopez, adding that the opposing side seeks to cause fear and chaos within the country and among citizens.
The Minister of Defense said that Venezuela will remain determined and faithful to the vow given to its ancestors, stressing that the country will defend its homeland against any threat and aggression.
– In accordance with the Constitution of Venezuela, the full mobilization of all branches of the armed forces has been declared – Lopez concluded.
