At least 104 people, including 43 children, have been killed in multiple drone attacks in Sudan’s Kordofan region since December 4, the UN human rights office said on Tuesday.
– I am disturbed by the further intensification of hostilities – said the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Turk, referring to the clashes between the Sudanese army, the Rapid Support Force and the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement North in Kordofan – a region consisting of three states in central and southern Sudan.
He did not give more specific details about who was responsible for the drone attacks, which he said hit hospitals, a kindergarten and a UN base, Reuters reports.
