According to the agreement, Norway will support the production of drones in Ukraine, while Ukraine will share data, information and knowledge with Norway. Ukrainian drones will also be produced on Norwegian territory, reports HINA.
“We can learn from the experiences that Ukraine is gaining in this tough fight against Russian aggression,” Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre said at a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Norway, along with other Nordic and Baltic countries, firmly supports Ukraine. Oslo is one of the most generous per capita supporters of Kyiv.
Støre’s government has established a long-term funding plan for Kyiv, with the support of all parties in parliament, of around $28 billion between 2023 and 2030.
Earlier on Tuesday, Zelensky met with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz in Berlin. The two leaders agreed on defense cooperation, including the production of drones, which Zelenski says could become one of the largest in Europe.
