Čapljina hosted the UEFA Euro Trophy Tour, an event that promotes women’s football and encourages girls to become more involved in sports.
An egret was the host UEFA Euro Trophy Touran event dedicated to the promotion of women’s football, which brought together numerous girls, sports workers and sports fans.
Along with sports games, fun content and socializing, the goal of the event was to further bring soccer closer to girls and encourage their greater engagement in sports.
The organizers of the event were Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovinawith the support of the initiative “Let’s Play Together”, Dubrava sports club and City of Capljinait was announced from the City Administration of Čapljina.
Milović: Interest in women’s football is growing
One of the participants was i Jelena Milovićmenu U-19 national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina and coach of the women’s club Leotar Trebinje.
Milović pointed out that the situation in women’s football in Bosnia and Herzegovina is much better today than in previous years.
Today we can see that many girls responded to this event and that the interest in women’s football is growing. This is a really beautiful story for Bosnia and HerzegovinaMilović said.
She particularly emphasized the importance of the fact that Bosnia and Herzegovina hosts the European Championship for female soccer players under the age of 19.
Being the host of such a large and prestigious competition is a great honor and privilege. This will certainly bring many benefits, not only to women’s football, but also to the overall football in Bosnia and Herzegovinasaid Milović.
Speaking about the upcoming championship, she pointed out that the national team is already expecting a demanding match against at the opening Germanybut also that the girls work hard to present their country in the best way.
Dubrav has four women from the BiH national team
Director Football club Dubrave Zorica Šutalo she said that it is a big deal for a small club like Dubrava to participate in the organization of such an event.

Although it is a relatively small club, Dubrava today has even four representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina. More and more girls are training soccer
Šutalo pointed out that finances are still a big challenge for clubs from smaller areas, but that Dubrava through cooperation with Leotar from Trebinje enable talented girls to perform at a higher level of competition.
According to her, girls’ interest in football has been growing significantly in recent years.
Five or six years ago, there was only one girl in our club who played with the boys. Today we have 32 girls aged six to thirteensaid Šutalo.
