US President Donald Trump announced that the Iranian navy was “completely destroyed”, and added that he would also destroy smaller ships if they came close to the US blockade of the Iranian coast.
“The Iranian Navy is lying at the bottom of the sea, completely destroyed – 158 ships. What we didn’t hit were their smaller ships they call ‘fast attack ships’ because we didn’t see them as much of a threat,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
He added a warning that any Iranian ships that come close to the US blockade will be destroyed.
“Warning: If any of those ships come close to our BLOCKADE, they will be ELIMINATED immediately,” he said, adding that the same system the US uses against drug smugglers at sea will be used.
