The US opposes the name of Russia “aggressor” in the G7 statement on the second anniversary of the full range of invasion of Ukraine.
As the BBC is written referring to writing the Financial Times, this is another sign of the discount between Donald Trump and other Western countries that support Ukraine.
U.S. Representatives allegedly opposed the phrases of “Russian aggression” and similar formulations used by Ukrainian allies, including a group of seven most developed economies of the world (G7).
– Americans block that date, but we are still working on it and hopefully agreed, the Financial Times of one official.
CNN reports that the United States is opposed to the terms that blame Russia for war and adds that one official expresses “great concerns about the equalization of responsibility for war”.
Earlier this month Donald Trump stated that Russia should be recieved in G7:
– I’d like to give them back. I think it was wrong to throw them out, he said.
This statement found some other members G7, and the French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot called the return of Russia to the group “unimaginable”.
Recall, Russia joined the G7 in 1990s, but it was excluded after Moscow 2014. annexed the Crimea.
