The Police Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Zenica-Doboj Canton has successfully implemented internal training for 24 police officers from all police stations in the canton, who are trained to work as crime technicians.
The training lasted from March 9 to April 20, 2026, and was held in the premises of the Center for Training and Accommodation of the Special Police Unit of the MUP ZDK in Zenica. The training was conducted by experienced police officers of the Police Administration and the Department for Criminalistic Techniques and KDZ, who work in expert and forensic technical tasks.
The aim of the training was to improve the professional knowledge, practical skills and professional capacities of police officers, so that they would apply the highest standards in the field of forensic and technical work in their work.
The program included theoretical and practical teaching in the field of criminal techniques and tactics, counter-subversion protection and forensic medicine. The participants had the opportunity to learn through practical work knowledge from investigative activities, trace processing, as well as the application of modern methods and technical equipment.
At the end of the training, a final demonstration exercise was held, during which the participants demonstrated the acquired skills through the simulation of various investigative situations. The exercise was attended by Police Commissioner Admir Gazić, who expressed his satisfaction with the demonstrated level of knowledge, professionalism and engagement of the participants.
On that occasion, he emphasized that continuous education and professional development are key to strengthening police capacities, stressing that only well-trained and modernly educated police officers can adequately respond to security challenges and citizens’ expectations.
