Traffic through the Strait of Hormuz remains restricted, while the fate of negotiations between the US and Iran is uncertain.
In the last 24 hours, only 12 ships have passed through that key waterway, NBC News reported.
According to the MarineTraffic service, four ships were sailing under the Iranian flag, and most of them used the Iranian-sanctioned route along the coast near Bandar Abbas.
As we previously reported, during the war with the US and Israel, Iran almost stopped traffic through the strait, which had global economic consequences.
The strait was briefly open during the armistice, but was closed again, leaving shipping and the global market in limbo.
According to the same data, another 12 vessels are anchored or sailing in the area.
