Tonight, with the evening call to prayer, comes the blessed night of Laylat al-Qadr, one of the most chosen nights in the Islamic tradition, which is associated with the beginning of the revelation of the Qur’an.
Its special value is emphasized in Surah Al-Qadr, in which it is stated that this night is “better than a thousand months”. According to the traditions transmitted from the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, Laylatul-Qadr should be sought in the odd nights of the last third of the month of Ramadan, and Islamic scholars believe that it is most likely the 27th night of Ramadan.
Believers spend this night in worship, prayers and reflection, believing that every sincere prayer, wish and hope is received in it.
The Islamic community in Bosnia and Herzegovina reminds us of the importance of prayer in the daily life of believers.
“Prayer is especially necessary for today’s man who, in his fast and dynamic life, often loses his orientation and the Islamic balance between the spiritual and the material. Man should be directed to prayers, as a form of daily connection with his Creator, from waking up in the morning until going to bed at night; to purify his soul with prayer and persevere on the path of Allah. In truth, our faith should be crystal clear – without any doubt, so that our prayer will be accepted. That is why believers pray to Allah j. to accept tawba – repentance”, they stated from the Islamic community in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
On the occasion of the upcoming Mubarak night, Rijaset of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina is organizing a central ceremony in the Gazi Husrev Bey Mosque in Sarajevo, which will begin at 7:15 p.m.
