TimeOut singled out six countries in Europe as the cheapest destinations and explained what that means.
“Of course, a note is in order; by ‘cheap’ we mean ‘unforced’, with a focus on value for money and overall affordability. Western Europe leaves a lot to be desired in this regard, and the eastern side of the continent does all the work,” they stated.
They pointed out that there is no need to “break the piggy bank before packing your suitcase” to visit the countries on the list.
In first place is Bosnia and Herzegovina, and TimeOut magazine describes: “When it comes to value for money in Europe, there are few places that can match Bosnia and Herzegovina. Sarajevo and Mostar are still relatively affordable, but the real value lies elsewhere in the country, especially in the central region.”

Waterfalls in the center of town? You’ll find them there. Whether you’re admiring the wild horses of Livno, learning about the value of salt in Tuzla, going on an adrenaline adventure in Foča or experiencing pure bliss on the Janjski Otoké, Bosnia and Herzegovina is Europe at its most magnificent (and affordable) edition”, said the mentioned magazine.
Lithuania is in second place, neighboring Serbia is in third place, followed by Poland, Albania and Bulgaria, it reports Klix.
