The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reports that the drone attack targeted army deployment sites near the Sheikh Maqsoud settlement, killing one soldier and injuring several others, Anadolia reports.
Alikhbaria state television also reported that two women were killed and a child wounded in SDF shelling of residential buildings in Al-Midan neighborhood.
The attack came a day after three soldiers were injured in a similar SDF drone attack in Aleppo.
On Sunday, state TV channel Alikhbariya reported that meetings were held in Damascus with representatives of the SDF, including their commander Mazloum Abdi, to monitor the implementation of the March 10, 2025 agreement, adding that the talks did not yield tangible results.
Syrian officials accuse the SDF of delaying the implementation of an agreement signed by Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa and the group’s leader.
The SDF is dominated by the YPG terrorist group, or the Syrian branch of the PKK terrorist organization.
On March 3, the Syrian presidency announced the signing of an agreement on the integration of the SDF into state institutions, confirming the territorial unity of the country and rejecting all attempts at division.
Syrian authorities claim that in the months that followed, the SDF showed no effort to fulfill the terms of the agreement.
