The announcement comes after months of delays and stalling by the Trump administration. A huge archive of documents could shed new light on Epstein’s crimes and his ties to prominent public figures, including Donald Trump himself.
The Department of Justice posted the following privacy notice on the website where the documents were released:
“Given the deadline set by Congress, every reasonable effort has been made to review and redact personal information relating to victims, other private individuals, and to protect sensitive material from publication. However, due to the amount of information involved, this site may contain information that inadvertently includes unpublished personally identifiable information or other sensitive content, including topics of a sexual nature.”
The following warning is also highlighted:
“Some parts of the content of this collection include descriptions of sexual abuse. Therefore, we warn that certain parts of this collection may not be suitable for all readers.”
It is not yet clear whether it is a complete or partial release of files held by the Ministry of Justice.
