According to that criterion, Rosario Central is the best with 66 points, four more than the second-placed Boca Juniors. According to the current rules, the team with the most points secured only an appearance in the next year’s Copa Libertadores, while the champions of the Aperture and Clausura played for the title. For Rosario Central, this is Argentina’s fifth championship title, and the first since 1987.

Ángel Di María won the first Argentinian title in his career with Rosario Central this year. Di María signed as a free agent for the club where he grew up, after ending his second term at Benfica this summer. With seven goals and three assists in 15 appearances, he led the team to first place in the Clausura.
