At least 20 people were killed, and more than 150 were injured in Pakistani Penjab, in strong storms and heavy rains that they hit that province, the local government said today.
The strong wind and thunderstorms caught the eastern Penjab yesterday, the northwestern province of Hajber Pahtunhvu and the capital of Islamabad, writes Beta.
The storm was so strong that it caused the damage to the infrastructure, it was paralyzed by road and air traffic and caused current disappearances in a number of places.
Most people were killed under collapsed buildings, while two people died from the consequences of injuries suffered from the solar panels carrying a strong wind.
One man was killed, and three people were injured from thunder hit.
The storm caused too much heat, with temperatures over 45 degrees, said the spokesman for the management of disaster in Penjab.

Temperatures have reached a record in April, with 46.5 degrees in some parts of the Penjab.
According to the Penjab government, most deaths in the province occurred due to the collapse of the last house or due to the fall of the trees, and more than 20 incidents in which damage caused the fall of solar panels and billboards.
The police closed several highways for safety reasons.
Schools in Penjab and Balučistan have announced that the summer school holiday will begin earlier because of the heat.
