Wales coach Craig Bellamy spoke to UEFA about the upcoming World Cup qualifiers, and in the conversation he especially praised the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.
Bellamy admitted that he analyzed the Dragons’ game in detail and was seriously impressed by the quality of the squad.
“I’ve watched a lot of their games and I’ve got to be impressed,” Bellamy said.
The Wales coach emphasized that Bosnia and Herzegovina has a number of qualities that make it a very dangerous opponent.
“It will be a difficult match. Their physical strength is exceptional, they are disciplined and have good leadership from the bench. They have a lot of quality,” he said.
Bellamy added that BiH the national team is especially dangerous in transition.
“They get to the ball very quickly. They are exceptional in transition. One of the better teams in Europe. They always end the action with an attempt at the goal, so we have to be aware of that,” he pointed out.
The Wales national team hopes to advance to the next stage of the play-offs, where they would potentially play against Italy or Northern Ireland.
