The United States, one of the three host countries for the 2026 World Cup, has refused to issue visas to 15 members of the Iranian delegation, Iranian state television reported on Saturday.
– Visas have been issued for the national team and professional staff, but there are 15 members of the administration and management whose visas are problematic and which were not approved by the United States of America – said a state television reporter from Antalya, where the Iranian national team is currently preparing for the training camp.
According to the report, the players and members of the coaching staff have received the necessary travel documents, while the administrative and management staff are still waiting for visa issues to be resolved. No additional details were given on the reasons why visas for part of the delegation were not issued.
