Contracts in the total amount of 18,650 KM were signed by six athletes from the A category, one athlete from the B category, and two promising athletes, the FBiH Taekwondo Federation announced.
In addition, the Management Board of the Association made a decision to allocate an additional 20,000 KM for national team members from the A and B categories for the performance at the European Senior Championship, which will be held in Munich in May.
A decision was also made to co-finance the junior national team’s trip to the World Championship in Uzbekistan, for which 7,000 KM was allocated.
When it comes to developmental taekwondo, the Board of Directors made a decision to finance the registration fees for the appearance of athletes at the “Omega Cup” tournament in Belgrade. About 13,000 KM was set aside for the Federation Team’s performance, for which more than 156 competitors were registered, as well as 30,000 KM for the three rounds of the Federation of BiH taekwondo league.
At yesterday’s contract signing, the Association, with the support of Daedo’s sponsor, also provided valuable sports equipment. The value of the equipment that was distributed to the senior representatives, per athlete, is about 1,200 KM. In the following period, the equipment will be handed over to the junior and then to the cadet national team members, who win their place in the national team.
Taking into account all the mentioned activities, the Taekwondo Federation of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina already in the first part of 2026 allocated 88,650 KM directly from the budget for high-quality and developmental taekwondo, with additional valuable sports equipment provided.
In the coming period, the association will continue to invest in high-quality and developing taekwondo, with the aim of further developing this Olympic sport in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
