The sixteenth edition of the largest amateur sports event for children and young people, the Plasma Youth Games, was opened at an appropriate ceremony in Brčko.
The festive program brought together more than 2,000 founders, guests, sports workers, representatives of institutions and partners of the Games, who together marked the beginning of another season of the most beautiful sports story.
In this way, Brčko joined Osijek, Novi Sad, Maribor and Skopje and became one of the SIM centers for this season, continuing the tradition of gathering children from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina through sports, games and friendship, the organizers announced.
In his welcome speech, the mayor of Brčko, Siniša Milić, emphasized the importance of the Games for the development of sports and young generations in Brčko District.
– It is a real pleasure and honor for me that today in Brčko we have the opening of the Youth Sports Games. This is an opportunity to gather young people, to guide them towards sports, socializing and healthy lifestyle habits. I wish everyone much success, but above all to enjoy Brčko – said Milić.
Haris Deliahmetović, President of the Organizing Committee of the Plasma Youth Sports Games of Bosnia and Herzegovina, thanked all the partners, institutions and friends of the Games who have been supporting this biggest sports-educational event for children and young people for years, and he addressed special words of gratitude to the youngest, because of whom the Games exist.
The ceremony was enhanced by a freestyle performance by Samir Salčin, a performance by Mirsad Abdagić Kika, as well as stage and entertainment content that further enriched the atmosphere and delighted the attendees.
Particular attention was drawn to the video messages of Edin Džeka, Luka Modrić, Nemanja Matić, Šima Vrsaljko, Aleksandar Kolarov and Glenn Micallef who sent support to the youngest participants.
