The renovated sports fields on the Campus of the University of Mostar were opened with a ceremonial exhibition match between Kinesiology students of the University of Mostar and representatives of the Sportradar company.
The project of arranging two sports fields and equipping recreational facilities within the Campus was financed by the company Sportradar, and the total value of the project is 50,000 BAM.
The project was realized through partnership cooperation Universities and the Sportradar company, thanks to which the successful implementation of the restoration of sports facilities was made possible. The works were carried out in accordance with the Memorandum of Cooperation signed in November of the previous year, which defined the joint implementation of the sports fields modernization project.
One of Sportradar’s goals is to support projects of social benefit through such investments. Within them, sports and other spaces are arranged and made available to the wider community, thereby contributing to the development of local infrastructure and public space.
The exhibition match took place in a sporting and friendly atmosphere, and was attended by representatives of the University administration, representatives of the Sportradar company, and numerous students and professors.

As pointed out by Prof. Ph.D. sc. Miran Peharvice dean for teaching at the Faculty of Natural, Mathematical and Educational Sciences of SUM and head of the Center for Research and Development of Top Sports, the renovation of basketball courts represents an important step in improving sports and teaching conditions for students, but also the wider community.
He emphasizes that the Faculty continuously strives to develop an environment in which education, scientific research work and sport complement each other, and he especially emphasizes the importance of the partnership with Sportradar, which recognized the value of investing in sports infrastructure and youth development.
Such cooperation between the academic community and the economy provides students with better conditions for learning, practical work and the development of professional competences. He also points out that this infrastructure has multiple values because it enables higher quality teaching and training, as well as the organization of sports and educational programs for children and young people, whereby students gain practical experience and actively contribute to the promotion of a healthy lifestyle.

According to him, the friendly match symbolically shows how much they are cooperation and investment in sports important for development universities and communities and believes that the renovated playgrounds will become a place for gathering and further development of sports and research activities.
Coordinator for sports activities at the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Mathematics and Educational Sciences of SUM, assistant professor. Ph.D. sc. Ivan Zeljko stresses that the renovated basketball courts represent a valuable contribution to the development of student sports and a better quality sports life at the University.
He points out that for students, especially Kinesiology students, the new infrastructure means better conditions for teaching, training and organizing various sports activities. He adds that the space will be used by the entire university community as a place of gathering and recreation, and that it will further encourage the involvement of students in sports and strengthen the sports dynamics on campus.
By renovating the playground, the University of Mostar continues to systematically invest in development of campus infrastructure and improving student standards with the support of business partners. Such projects are part of a broader strategy of strengthening the connection between the academic community and the business sector, creating a stimulating environment for students, and developing a space that is not only used for teaching, but also for building team spirit, healthy habits and togetherness.
The modernization of sports facilities contributes to the long-term goal of developing the Campus as a modern academic center that provides students with quality conditions for education, sports and social engagement, while simultaneously strengthening the recognition of the University as an institution that continuously invests in infrastructure and student well-being, SUM announced.
