The price of oil rose above 110 US dollars per barrel on Tuesday, while the prospects for a quick resolution of the conflict in the Middle East remain limited, Belga reported.
International benchmark Brent crude rose more than two percent to just over US$110 a barrel, marking its seventh straight day of gains.
US President Donald Trump has discussed the new Iranian proposal with his advisers, but progress appears unlikely in the short term. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said in an interview with Fox News that the proposal regarding the Strait of Hormuz does not meet US requirements.
