Real Madrid launched a limited-edition Leo XIV shirt in its official stores on Monday, priced at 195 euros, after the pope revealed that he supports the football club.
They were placed in the windows of shops in Madrid dolls with jersey whose upper back has the inscription “León” (Span. Lion) while below is “XIV“, printed as the number on the jersey.
Construction entrepreneur Florentino Pérez (79), who on Sunday received a new four-year term in extraordinary presidential elections in Real Madrid, will present the Pope with a shirt bearing his name this afternoon.
The Pope is visiting Spain, and at the stadium Santiago Bernabéu will meet the believers. It is one of the events of the American Pope’s program during his stay in Madrid.

The pope is for all clubs, but he is Prevost for Real Madridhe replied.
With that sentence, Robert Francis Prevost (his name before he was elected pope) made it clear that he personally supports Real Madrid, although as head of the Catholic Church he believes that all clubs should be represented.
Real Madrid was European champion a record fifteen times, but ended this season without a trophy.
