Today, the Government of the Federation of BiH, in Sarajevo, held a thematic session a dedicated state in the energy sector, which was adopted by the information of the Federal Ministry of Energy, Mining and the Industry on the situation in this sector.

The information contains data provided by companies under the jurisdiction of the Federal Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry, including “Elektroprivreda BiH”, “BH-GAS”, “operator – Terminals of the Federation”, NTF panels and “Energoinvest”.
Energy stability conservation and further development
At the session, it is pointed out that the preservation of energy stability of the Federation of BiH is a priority, with further activities of public enterprises on the development of the sector. The government ordered the line ministry and key energy companies to submit comprehensive information to the FBiH parliament within 15 days.
Measures to ensure a stable supply of coal and energy
“Elektroprivreda BiH” is in charge of taking all necessary measures to ensure sufficient amounts of coal from the Mine in the FBiH, including the completion of depot and ensuring stable production to avoid the need for imports.
Elektroprivreda hzhb till 2030. Years
“Elektroprivreda HZHB” plans to commission to the new energy capacity to 2030. year, including the “Pokles” and Photovoltaic Power Plant “FNE EP HZHB 1”.
BH-GAS: Safety security and gas infrastructure development
Among the key challenges and plans of “BH Gas” are the modernization of infrastructure, supply security, and the development of new natural gas supply and warehouses. The planned projects include Southern, North and Western interconnection, as well as the underground gas storage in the salt mines Teti Tuzla.
Increasing storage capacities of oil and petroleum products
“Operator – The terminals of the Federation” proposes the construction of new storage capacities of oil and petroleum products, thus increasing the price stability and security of supply. Also, the reconstruction of the railway infrastructure for more efficient energy transport is planned.
Energoinvest: Focus on energy security and renewable sources
“Energoinvest” in its strategic plan for the period 2015-2030. The year highlights energy security, the development of own production capacities, renewable energy sources and infrastructure projects as key priorities.
This thematic session indicated the challenges and necessary measures to strengthen the energy sector in the Federation of BiH, with the emphasis on long-term planning and modernization of infrastructure.
