That post is caused a storm – while some supported Morgan’s words, many harshly criticized them.
Djokovic, on the other hand, then showed calmness and dignityissuing a statement in which he stated:
“I am extremely disappointed with the court’s decision to dismiss my visa cancellation appeal, which means I cannot remain in Australia and participate in the Australian Open. However, I respect the decision and I will cooperate with the competent authorities regarding my departure from the country. I’m sorry that the focus of the past few weeks has been on me, instead of on sports and the tournament that I love. I am grateful to my family, friends, team, fans and all Serbs for their tremendous support – you were my source of strength.
In the announcement of the new interview, the winner of 24 Grand Slam titles also revealed to Morgan that he feels that he is at the end of his career, and that he may no longer be able to beat younger rivals.
Djokovic also revealed that he a dream to play one day professional match against his eleven-year-old son Stefano.
