The Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina has completed the conceptual concept of the future national stadium in Zenica, opening the way to the realization of one of the most important infrastructure projects in domestic football.
The new stadium should provide more modern conditions for the work of all national teams, but also raise the quality of football infrastructure in the country in the long term.
On this occasion, FSBiH President Vico Zeljković announced that the first stage of the project was completed, which is now entering the stage of conceptual design and main design.
According to him, the complete documentation should be completed by August 2026, after which construction works are planned to begin.
Zeljković pointed out that the new stadium will represent a significant step forward for Bosnia and Herzegovina. football, but also to become a permanent solution for home games of Čelik Zenica.
He added that the method of financing has not yet been defined, but that the Association is considering several models to ensure the full realization of the project.
“It is important that we work in a planned and responsible manner, and this project best confirms that,” said Zeljković.
