The president of the club’s board of directors, Nijaz Brković, said at a press conference in Grbavica that the Blues are facing a period of serious structural changes, which will include all segments of the club – from management and administration, through the sports sector, to the youth department.
Along with the presentation of the new head of professional staff, Slaviša Stojanović, Brković emphasized that a detailed four-year work plan will be presented to the public in a month. The short-term focus will be on stabilizing and strengthening the organization, while the long-term goal remains clear – the creation of a sustainable and competitive Railway Company, based on a clear structure, togetherness and responsibility.
One of the first concrete moves in that direction is the announcement of a competition for the director of the Club, a position that Brković sees as crucial for future development. In parallel with that, a new systematization of workplaces is planned, with greater inclusion of young and professional staff, especially those associated with the youth department.
FK Željezničar announced that the Club, together with a strategic partner, is looking for a leader ready to work in a result-oriented environment. The future director will be responsible for the operational management of the Club, managing the budget and financial stability, developing commercial and marketing activities, improving the organizational structure and achieving clearly defined business goals. Candidates must have a university degree, demonstrable managerial experience, strong leadership and communication skills, as well as knowledge of the English language.
It was especially emphasized that the salary is not fixed in advance – the basic income will be subject to agreement, while the total earnings will not be limited and will directly depend on the achieved results. The Club says that above-average incomes are reserved exclusively for above-average business results.
Brković also pointed out that Željezničar will not skimp when it comes to the sports segment, and that reinforcements will be sought that can immediately bring additional value to the team, even though the winter transfer window is limited. Big changes were also announced in the youth department, where it is planned to announce a competition for coaches and coordinators, with the aim of increasing the production of our own players.
In the coming period, the scouting service will be further developed, which will no longer be focused exclusively on the domestic market, but also on the region. All the mentioned measures are part of a wider strategy by which Željezničar wants to lay solid foundations for long-term and sustainable success.
