The Gender Center of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced that the first session of the Coordination Committee for Monitoring the Implementation of the Gender Action Plan of Bosnia and Herzegovina 2026-2027 was held. in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which officially marks the beginning of a new planning cycle in the field of gender equality.
Director of the FBiH Gender Center and Chairman of the Coordination Committee, Samir Numanović, emphasized the importance of the BiH Gender Action Plan 2026-2027. as a key strategic document for the promotion of gender equality in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The announcement emphasizes the importance of a coordinated and systematic approach in the implementation of the measures defined by this plan, as well as the need to strengthen inter-institutional cooperation and effective monitoring of the implementation of activities at all levels of government.
A series of conclusions related to the improvement of coordination and efficiency of implementation were adopted, along with defined specific responsibilities of the institutions whose representatives were appointed by the decision of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina to work in the Coordination Committee. The creation of an operational plan was also announced, which will contain clearly defined activities and responsibilities of each institution.
As stated, key documents for the work of the Coordination Committee were considered and adopted, and the members expressed their readiness for active participation in the realization of goals, with a focus on strengthening institutional capacities, improving coordination and developing gender equality policies.
The FBiH Gender Center says that this process represents the beginning of institutionally coordinated action with the aim of achieving sustainable and measurable results in the field of gender equality in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
