Iran claims: We rocketed three American destroyers near the Strait of Hormuz
Three US warships near the Strait of Hormuz were targeted by the Iranian Navy, the Iranian news agency Tasnim reported.
Earlier, Iranian state media reported that US military naval units operating in the Strait of Hormuz were exposed to an Iranian missile attack after the US military, according to Tehran, attacked an Iranian oil tanker.
Iranian media also state that American military ships were forced to withdraw from the area after suffering damage.
According to the same sources, the day before, an American fighter jet disabled an Iranian tanker that allegedly tried to break through the American blockade and sail towards an Iranian port.
The United States has not yet officially commented on the claims that its destroyers were the target of the Iranian attack.
