The coach of the Austrian first division Altach, Ognjen Zarić (37), rejected a generous offer from the Sarajevo Football Club, reports Austrian journalist Eric Niederseer.
Behind this coach who was born in Teslić, and who built his career abroad, is 18 games with Altach in which he won 1.5 points per game and won survival in the Austrian elite.
He also unexpectedly reached the final of the Austrian Cup with this team, where he was defeated by LASK 2:4 after extra time.
Zarić started his coaching career in the Austrian lower league Kufstein. He led the U18 and U21 teams of Swiss Basel, was an assistant in the first team, and later coach of Austrian Winterthur.
