As part of the celebration of the 26th anniversary of the Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the jubilee event “Brčko Gala Night – Balkan Dance Grand Prix” was held in Brčko, which gathered a large number of competitors and fans of sports dance.
According to the head of the Department for Economic Development, Sport and Culture in the Government of the Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Srđan Blažić, about 1,000 competitors from 20 dance clubs, from the country and abroad, participated in this event, who competed in different categories of sports dance and presented their skills through the art of movement.
The event was organized by the dance club Mambo Brčko, and according to the evaluations of the organizers and participants, the event once again confirmed the regional importance of this competition, which attracts an increasing number of dancers and guests every year, and promotes the Brčko district of Bosnia and Herzegovina in a positive way.
Blažić pointed out that the evening was filled with smiles, positive energy and joy, recalling the thought of the great poet Jovan Dučić that “a man can sing even when he is sad, but he can only dance when he is happy”.
At the end of the evening, awards were given to the most successful competitors, and thanks were also sent to parents and coaches who, with their efforts and work, help young people grow into successful athletes and good people.
