The Municipal Headquarters for the Emergency Municipal Administration Teslić has made a decision to declare the first degree of flood defense in the municipality, due to the announced abundant precipitation and growth of river water levels.
According to the forecasts of the Republic Hydrometeorological Institute of the Republika Srpska, intensive precipitation, which could cause a sudden increase in water levels, especially the rivers of the Ukrina, Bosnia, Usor and Vrbanja, as well as torrent watercourses. The current water level of the Usora River is 265 centimeters.
The declaration of preparedness has been introduced constant monitoring of water levels, and the competent services were placed in the state of reinforced readiness. Duties on the following numbers were organized:

Civil protection: 065 / 458-436
Police: 122
Firefighters: 123
Civil protection teams are already in the field, and the first amounts of sand were delivered to critical locations, while additional supplies are ready for emergency interventions.
The municipal headquarters emphasized the need for the urgent action of the forest farm “Borja” Teslić due to the large amounts of forest assortments and remnants from the rivers and tributaries, which represent a serious flood threat. Emergency cleaning of river flows was ordered, with a warning that municipal authorities will, if there is no action, to take advantage of all the legally prescribed measures to prevent such situations in the future.
Municipal authorities and competent services continue to follow the situation on the ground and invite citizens to additional caution and strict respect for the instructions.
