In the atrium of the Mejlis of the Islamic Community of Tešanj, on Wednesday, December 18, 2025, as part of the “Tešanj City Days 2025” event, the book “Educational Role of the Mother” by Dr. Safija Malkić. The event was organized by the Mejlis of the Tešanj Islamic Community, and gathered numerous visitors interested in the topics of family, upbringing and parenting.

The book was discussed by M.Sc. Fuad-ef. Omerbašić, chief imam of the Majlis of the Tešanj Islamic Community, dr. Senad Ćeman, professor at the Faculty of Islamic Sciences in Sarajevo, and Dženana Kuluglija, graduate psychologist. The promoters pointed out the extremely important role of the mother in raising children, as well as her contribution to building healthy family and social relationships, from a religious, pedagogical and psychological point of view. The promotion was moderated by mr. Džejlana Hasanović, coordinator of the Marriage and Family Department of the Majlis from Tešanj.

It was pointed out that the reviewer of the book is reisul-ulema of the Islamic community in Bosnia and Herzegovina Husein-ef. Kavazović, and that this work represents a significant contribution to the literature in the field of Islamic pedagogy and contemporary parenting. The book offers a combination of classic Islamic sources and contemporary educational challenges that families face today.

Safija Malkić emphasized that the book is not of a fiction character, but is intended primarily for mothers, but also for all persons who professionally or personally deal with upbringing and family.
