Sweden decided to assign a new military assistance package of Ukraine worth 16 billion kroner ($ 1.59 billion), which is the largest package of help from this Nordic country, the Minister of Defense Pål Jonson said.
Most of the package, 9.2 billion crowns, will consist of equipment that will be procured through the Processes conducted by the Swedish Defense Material Administration, Jonson told the press conference, Reuters reported.
The government previously announced that Sweden would increase the help of Ukraine this year, raising budget allocations for 2025. year to 40 billion kroner, compared to the previously planned 25 billion, to support Kiev in the fight against Russian invasion.
