Jasmine Dolamić from the Dough deals with the astrophotography that he says he offers the possibility that the universe and phenomena investigates in the more interesting way and shows everything that human eye cannot only spot.
Dolamic talked about his love for the universe for “Avaz” You discovered how he started filming.
Gray spot
Astrophotography is every recording of objects in the night sky. Can record a cell phone, camera and telescope, but real astrophotography occurs through a telescope.
– My universe started interesting in primary school, everything we learned about heavenly bodies was very interesting. Through this, I was born to have a telescope and when I bought it, I started watching himself, and later filming to share with others what was seen through the telescope – he started his story Dolamic.
According to his knowledge, Dolamić is the only astrophotograph in Bosnia and Herzegovina that records through the telescope. He explained which is the difference between visual astronomy and astrophotography.
– One reason why I started dealing with this type of photography is that it is the only way to introduce everything that can be seen through the telescope and even the only way to see even more detailed. Visual astronomy, observation through telescope, is slightly more demanding to go to a dark location, much further from the city, to see details, and again our eyes cannot record all the colors we observe so they most often look like gray Spots. A large number of people when he sees those objects are disappointed, because they do not look like on the internet. Both of them have their charms, of course, but the photo offers more details – he stated Dolamaid.
He added that the majority starting to deal with astronomy, the first object of observation and recording be the month, so that situation was with him. However, he also allocated the favorite recordings he managed to catch.
– The moon is the least demanding to target and record, so it was the first object. After that, a large nebula was followed in Orion. Favorite photo I managed to record is Aurora in Mostar. That night we had a workshop and she showed up, which is a very rare occurrence. In addition, I am especially glad to have recorded anything of the NGC 7331 galaxy and has Stefan’s quintet. I spent more than 20 hours on her and I really got engraved in my memory, “Dolamaid recalled.
Photo origin
To create a good photo, it must go through a process that takes a lot of time, and takes place in three phases – planning, recording and processing.
– Before recording, there are many planning for which we also use planetarium software, for example Stellarium, so it can literally plan the frame through the telescope. After that, it goes to a lot of dark location, the equipment is prepared and is recorded. The recorded material is processed, in order to highlight the colors and details, and in order to present the object more real – explained by Dolamaid.
He pointed out that our state has great potential for astrortourism, which is practiced in the world.
– Many astronomers go in search of the dark sky, and there are 2-3 locations where the darkest sky is in all of Europe, while accessible. These are, for example, parts on Maglić Mountain and Glamočko polje. Even not to go to those places, it is quite enough to move down enough from the city to create quite solid conditions for the astronomy – the Dolamaid concluded.
Pollution sources
– We are lucky that we don’t have many large cities that are sources of light pollution. Much of our state is not overly polluted, so we have very favorable conditions for dealing with astronomy. It’s enough to step down a dozen miles from the city, where the dark sky is and you have a great look – he said.
