The head of the coaching staff of HSK Zrinjski Mostar, Igor Štimac, took to social media after his team won the BiH Cup against Velež, sharing an extensive message about the situation in the Mostar club and its relationship with the city’s big rival.
At the beginning of the post, he said that he was giving his “rivals from the east” a text by an unknown author that he believed could help them “get out of the shackles of hatred.”
The announcement states that the defeat against Zrinjski reopened the question of whether Velež focuses enough on football or spends too much energy on the atmosphere of conflict, political messages and historical frustrations.
It used to be Velež was synonymous with joke, dog, technique and courage. Opponents beat each other on the field, and the audience came to see the beauty of the gamethe announcement reads.
