Štimac said that his long-term football experience does not allow him to turn a blind eye to some things and that he expects only complete honesty in the continuation of the cooperation.
“I will not participate in a dishonest relationship. I have experience. I feel something. I expect honesty. If there is a desire for future cooperation, then there is no ‘I say one thing and think another’.”
The main reason for the Croatian strategist’s disappointment lies in the fact that the club leaked information about negotiations with other coaches at the worst possible moment for the team.
The release of information about potential successors during the season directly undermined the preparation of matches and Štimec’s authority in the dressing room.
The disputed information was released to the public while the team was still actively fighting to achieve its competitive goals.
Štimac clearly emphasized that Zrinjski must raise the level of culture of behavior and relations towards the heads of the profession, reminding that throughout history many coaches had to leave Zrinjski suddenly and in an ungrateful way.
