The right to compensation is exercised by a natural person who bears the costs of the funeral/funeral of the pension beneficiary.
In the Official Gazette of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Rulebook on Amendments to the Rulebook on Reimbursement of Funeral Expenses in the Case of the Death of a Pension Beneficiary was published, which specified the amount of compensation, as well as the procedure for exercising this right.
The most important change concerns the amount of the fee. As stated, in the event of the death of a pension beneficiary to whom a pension was paid in the Federation of BiH or Brčko District, the natural person who pays the funeral expenses is entitled to compensation in the amount of the average pension paid in the month before the death of the beneficiary.
The amendments additionally specified the elements that must be included in the request for the payment of compensation. The applicant is required to provide personal information, including first and last name, parents’ name, unique ID number, residential address, as well as bank account information and contact phone number. Also, the request must contain basic information about the deceased pension beneficiary, including the date of death and the beneficiary’s identification number.
When it comes to documentation, it is necessary to attach funeral expense invoices issued by a registered legal entity for funeral activities, a bank confirmation of the applicant’s transaction account number, and a power of attorney if the request is submitted through an authorized person.
The Rulebook enters into force on the day of its publication in the Official Gazette of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, after it has been approved by the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Tuzlanski.ba
