South Korea Special Prosecutor, appointed to investigate the former Lady Kim Keon Hee for corruption charges, on Thursday, submitted a court for issuing the order for her detention, the Reuters’ team reported.
Kim and former President Yoon Suk Yeol under investigation are two special prosecutors, appointed after the former leader was removed in April due to the short-term declaration of military status.
Kim appeared on the Wednesday in the Special Prosecutor’s Office due to charges involving fraud on the stock exchange, bribes and illegal use of political influence. She apologized for causing concerns, but she did not answer questions of journalists regarding charges.
The Special Prosecutor did not immediately publish more details about the request for custody.
