The storm started in the night from the north, with very strong winds, while yellow and orange weather warnings were issued for most of Sweden, according to local portal Ekspresen.

“The wind will continue to increase and we will soon have gusty winds in the areas where orange warnings have been issued. The highest strength will be in the afternoon, while it will calm down a bit during the evening and night,” said meteorologist Kjel Lund.
The storm also caused power outages, with nearly 40,000 households without electricity.
Meanwhile, the Swedish Transport Agency (Trafikverket) reported very difficult conditions on several roads.
