Smart street surveillance: Police vehicles in the ZDK equipped with an advanced video system

Autonomous video surveillance system on police vehicles

The Ministry of the Interior of the Zenica-Doboj Canton presented the members of the cantonal government with Prime Minister Nesir Pivić and the Chairman of the Assembly of ZDK Ćazimu Huskić, equipment that ensures the improvement of the police efficiency.

This system is directly reduced by the possibility of abuse and corrupt actions both by police officers and from controlled citizens.

The entire system has already enabled a dozen serious crimes in the test phase, and also increased the collection of misdemeanors according to all parameters in the field of traffic safety.

According to the Emir Responsible Minister, he is ultimately an increase in the level of collection of all offenses registered with this system and all other systems imported for a minimum of 30%, and also increasing various crimes for a minimum of 20%.

12 video surveillance systems were procured with 6 lpr cams (4 × 6 megapixels and 2 × 8 megapixels) integrated into the rotation system on official vehicles. The system received 72 LPR cameras in the movement that will be integrated into the Renate system (register of national tables) and will be enabled to note and process the violations of unregistered vehicles as well as misdemeanor per pariabar traffic.

– 12 tablets with system control software in reinforced housing, which possesses military level of protection from moisture and dust, with the possibility of shooting 360 degrees around the vehicle. Built-in NVR with autonomic recording lasting 15 days for the purpose of documenting all events around the official vehicle, and all in order to protect both police officers and controlled citizens. Detection of misdemeanor of the wrong parking, driving in the wrong direction, crossing the full line, unregistered vehicles, motorcycle ride without helmet – said Minister Vraco.

The equipment is provided with the Server with a Mulimedial Monitor with CENTRALISTED CONTROL Software and registered videos and a single mobile video surveillance with 1x PTZ camera with optical zoom from 24 times, 6 cameras with a total resolution of 48 megapixel.

This system will be used as a mobile video surveillance station that will facilitate monitoring events where a large number of people (football matches, concerts, religious events and the like that will attend. Also this system is imported on the central server.

When it comes to the IT system of Renato for automatic processing of unregistered and offenses, as well as foreign offenders recorded by stationary radar, 20 tablets with system control software in reinforced housing that owns military levels of moisture protection and dust with a secured communication via 4G network and one LPR camera with an integrated artificial intelligence chip with significantly improved detection and recognition of the registration table in the night.

The total price of the investment of all of the above is 350,000 KM.

Prime Minister Nezir Pivić thanked people in the Ministry of Interior at work and efforts that show for better security of our citizens.

– We are this year when the budget increased by 100 million marks compared to last year, invested a lot for security. Our message is quite clear. Witnesses are all kinds of deviant phenomena today, society is exposed to various stresses, various facilities that affect the ultimately on the psyche itself. We know that some things cannot be prevented, but something like this equipment of the Ministry of the Interior, which will be shown in public that in any moment someone possibly recorded and recorded, it will greatly enable the work in prevention that not despite criminal offenses. On the other hand, while we still do not have agreements with other terms in terms of penalties, in this way, in one mini space of the cantonal administrative borders, we also show those persons who come with foreign boards that we can collect penalties – said Prime Minister Nezir Pivić.

The Prime Minister explained that he would go with the initiative to be with higher police agencies and state levels of BiH BiH’s border police and ultimately begin to charge for foreign citizens and persons who drive cars on foreign boards. In this way, when crossing the border, if the system recognizes a car or driver that there are punishments, they could charge them on the spot over a bank card.

It would be a multiple benefit, primarily, security prevention, and would provide funds that could and invest in additional equipment that would improve the safety of citizens.
