In the first semi-final game of the BiH Basketball Championship, Igokea won convincingly over Siroki with a score of 87:107 in the match played at Pecara.
At the very opening, it was evident that Široki would hard to carry with tonight’s opponent. The difference in quality was obvious, the guests opened the game very well realizing their attacks easily, while the home team struggled a lot with shooting.
After four minutes of play Igokea reached the double-digit advantages (3:16) so the coach of the home team was forced to react with the first time out. Bosniak was replaced on the field by Miletić, but Široki was unable to find a solution for the solid defense and quick transition of the visiting basketball players, so the difference only continued to grow. Igokea scored even in the first quarter 37 pointswhile Široki scored only 13.
The equal balance of forces continued in the second quarter. It’s wide, including the last two minutes of the first quarter, full was without a basket for five minuteswhile the guests during that time played unstressed and were quite efficient. The home team tried to reduce the deficit to a more acceptable difference, but at halftime the guests had the advantage 36:62.
The third quarter was opened by Igokea with a streak further increased the advantageand Široki had a hard time finding rhythm in the attack. Through Milosavljević, Musić and Popović, the guests maintained high differencewhich in the middle of the section amounted to large ones +32 (40:72). However, the team from Pecara showed signs of life at the end of the third quarter.
On several occasions, the Širokibrježa team managed to connect high-quality defenses, but numerous misses and lost balls did not allow them to score a more serious result. Igokea is still there controlled the encounter, but the team from Pecara succeeded reduce to -19 before the last ten minutes (66:85).
In the last quarter, Igokea only confirmed the victory by reaching three-digit number of points.
